Happy holidays! This week, I had a true fanboy moment getting to host Dr. Glaucomflecken (aka Dr. Will Flanary) on the How I Doctor podcast.
You probably know Dr. Glaucomflecken for his comedy, but what struck me in our conversation was how he’s using his platform to wake physicians up to the system around us: “Something has to change in healthcare. And I think that starts with redistribution of power to people who know what it’s like to go in and see a patient.”
Will and I discussed not only key policy changes that could actually help physicians, but also what each of us can do to help enact them (you don’t have to have millions of followers, you just need to share your story 😀). I’m proud of Dr. Flanary for using his gifts in this way to help us rewrite our story. I would love to hear your feedback on the episode, as well as other physicians you’d like to hear from and topics you’re interested in diving into – reply directly!
